Following his defeat to Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon championship match, Novak Djokovic is prepared to return to competition in the Cincinnati Masters.

By winning his maiden Wimbledon championship, the Spaniard denied Djokovic an eighth victory at the All-England Club.

Djokovic was frank and honest about losing out on crucial points at Wimbledon, and Alcaraz took advantage of it in the final, where it made the largest difference. Djokovic believes that he should have executed his one-set advantage because he reached a position where he had multiple chances to win the set point in the second set.

The fact that the loss against Carlos Alcaraz was not the first nor the last time Novak Djokovic had lost a tennis match, he said, helped him accept the defeat.

Djokovic recently participated in a media event with the ATP Tour and he stated: It was a close match, but well deserved from his side, because to win he played better in the important moments, and that’s what I said after the final. I think he was a deserved winner and that’s it really, pretty much. You move on.”
