The Canadian player Milos Raonic, who is renowned for his rising returns, recently discussed the transforming influence of three tennis legends: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.
Raonic reflected on how these tennis legends had forever changed the course of the sport. There are three players who stand out from the crowd in the sport of tennis and are frequently referred to as “The Big 3”: Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Roger Federer.
For more than 20 years, these three tennis greats have dominated the sport, broken records, and raised the bar for men’s tennis. Raonic shared his thoughts during a conversation: “Tennis was quite different before Roger came around. Only these 3 guys messed with everyone’s caliber and recalibration of what’s normal.”
Raonic further stated Federer redefined how people viewed the sport with his wonderful play and everyone’s perceptions of what is typical in tennis have been impacted by Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic.
Milos Raonic discussed this in light of the events that recently occurred in tennis with young Carlos Alcaraz making history at Wimbledon defeating Novak Djokovic.

Carlos Alcaraz in 2023
WWWLWWWWWW Ranked world no.1, Carlos played his last match on the 11th of August when he lost to world no.14 Tommy Paul 6-3 4-6 6-3 in the quarter in Toronto (draw).
Currently, during this year Carlos has achieved a 49-5 record. Carlos clinched 6 titles in 2023 in Buenos Aires, Indian Wells, Barcelona, Madrid, London and Wimbledon. The Spaniard got to the final in Rio de Janeiro.
He is also scheduled to play at the U.S. Open (U.S. Open) after Cincinnati. The main draw will start on the 13th of August.
Milos Raonic and Carlos Alcaraz have never played each other.
Rafael Nadal in 2023
Now ranked no.140, the Spaniard played his last match on the 18th of January when he lost to world no.59 Mackenzie Mcdonald 6-4 6-4 7-5 in the 2nd round in the Australian Open (draw).
This season Nadal has a 1-3 win-loss record.
Novak Djokovic in 2023
WWWWWWLWWL Ranked world no.2, Djokovic played his last match on the 16th of July when he was overcome by world no.1 Carlos Alcaraz 1-6 7-6(6) 6-1 3-6 6-4 in the final in Wimbledon (draw).
Currently, during this year the Serbian has a 33-5 win-loss record. Novak clinched 3 titles in 2023 in Adelaide, Australian Open and French Open. Djokovic was the finalist in Wimbledon.
Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic played each other 59 times. The head to head is 30-29 for Djokovic. Previously, the last time they locked horns, Rafael Nadal won 6-2 4-6 6-2 7-6(4) in the quarter in Paris (French Open) in May 2022.
