Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa didn’t have a fantastic experience in Canada from a performance point of view. In Toronto, Stefanos Tsitsipas lost in the opening match to an inspired Gael Monfils, 6-4, 6-3. In Montreal, Paula was not even able to compete since she was still struggling with her back injury. Therefore, the Spanish player went straight to Toronto to cheer for her boyfriend. That didn’t go that well, but at least the tennis power couple enjoyed the local surroundings. Now the world no.4, Stefanos played his last match on the 9th of August when he was defeated by world no.276 Gael Monfils 6-4 6-3 in the 2nd round in Toronto (draw).
Presently, during this year Tsitsipas has a 39-14 match record. This year, the Greek won 1 tournament in Los Cabos. The Greek reached the final at the Australian Open and Barcelona.
Tsitsipas has scheduled to compete next in Cincinnati (Western & Southern Open). He will start from the main draw that will commence on the 13th of August.
Paula Badosa in 2023
LWWLWWLWWW Now the world no.45, Badosa played her last match on the 7th of July when she had to retire when playing against world no.32 Marta Kostyuk in the 2nd round and the scoreline was 6-2 1-0 .
During this season the Spaniard has managed to achieve an overall 18-9 record. Paula Badosa’s most significant achievement of the present season was reaching the semifinal in Adelaide.
Badosa will compete next at the U.S. Open (U.S. Open). She will start from the main draw that will commence on the 28th of August.
