Charleston. Danielle Collins had a great start of her Volvo Car Open campaign after she breezed past Madison Brengle 6-1 6-3.
The American looked calm for the entire match, and she seems to be ready to have another deep run in South Carolina after she reached the semifinal in Melbourne back in January.

After the match, Danielle explained
Madison Brengle has always defeated Danielle when playing both at ITF and WTA level. When asked about how she managed to turn the table, Danielle replied
“A little bit of more experience [helped] since I played her last. I just know what you expect especially when you play in front of a big crowd. I just think that experience kind of helped me a little bit more today and I played solid.”
“I’ve gained a bit more experience since I played her last.”
