Coco Gauff And Coach Gilbert

Coco Gauff recently stated that her work with Brad Gilbert was basically a trial, but she is now convinced that she wants to continue.

Gauff sought out seasoned coach Brad Gilbert as a result to act as more of an advisor than a weekly coach who would accompany her on her travels. Although she acknowledged that it is only an experiment and not something she was willing to call permanent, she is convinced that it will be beneficial for the upcoming few weeks after seeing how well it works in Washington at the 2023 Citi Open.

Brad Gilbert expressed these remarks about Gauff and her potential: “Because she’s got a lot of potential. And I’ve kind of been thinking the last couple of years that I want to do it again. I feel like I can help anybody get a little bit better, but I don’t want to coach somebody to go from 50 to 30. If I’m coaching somebody, it’s to get them back in the mix to win it.”

Gilbert is convinced Gauff has big titles in her and says: “One hundred percent, “I like what she has. They talk about what is missing in her game because everybody is fixated on that. I’m like, man, a lot of people are missing what she has.”
