John Isner got a bit unlucky during his Miami Open final against Roger Federer after he fractured his foot at the end of the second set. The American giant was clearly unable to play at his best at the very end as he was struggling with his movements.
John Isner should not play for 4 or 6 weeks
According to reports, the big man suffered a stress fracture in his left foot, and it should be out between 4 and 6 weeks. That, of course, is a pity because the American was back to his best tennis. John is currently ranked no.10, and he is no.6 in the Year to Date rankings.
The good news at least is that he should be fully fit for the stint of grass.
Word from John Isner camp is that it appears he did suffer a stress fracture in his left foot during Miami Open final against Federer. More definitive test results forthcoming but could miss 4 to 6 weeks. If so, quite a pity for a big man back in excellent form (6th in the race)
