The match between world no. 105 Alejandro Gonzalez and world no.54 Steve Johnson wasn’t part of the blockbusters of the day, but at that level you still produce a damn good tennis.
Gonzalez was leading 6-4 2-2 when he finished a high quality rally with a spectacular diving volley. The shot was great, but eventually it was Johnson to win the match with a tough 3-6 6-4 7-6 (4).
Johnson will play Nadal in the next round and he can expect some more magic from his next opponent.
