Carlos Alcaraz and Gael Monfils are great ambassadors for tennis with their fantastic shotmaking and personalities. At the end of a training session, they played what some people call ping pong tennis. Apparently, it was the Frenchman who won that session, and Carlos had to go for a round of push-ups as the loser.

LWWWWWWWWW Currently the world no.1, Alcaraz played his last match on the 16th of July when he defeated world no.2 Novak Djokovic 1-6 7-6(6) 6-1 3-6 6-4 in the final in Wimbledon to win his 12th career title.
This season Carlos owns a compiled 47-4 match record. Alcaraz clinched 6 titles in 2023 in Buenos Aires, Indian Wells, Barcelona, Madrid, London and Wimbledon. The Spaniard was the runner-up in Rio de Janeiro.
He is also scheduled to play at the U.S. Open (U.S. Open) after Cincinnati. The main draw will start on the 13th of August.
Monfils in Toronto, ranking, and results in 2023
LWWWLLWLWW At the moment ranked no.276, Monfils achieved a compiled 5-9 match record in 2023. The French player is now playing in Toronto where he managed to beat the world no.29 Christopher Eubanks 7-63 6-74 6-1.
Gael Monfils will fight against the world no.4 Stefanos Tsitsipas in the 2nd round on Wednesday at 3:00 pm on CENTER COURT. The head to head is 2-1 for Tsitsipas.
Gael won 11 titles in his career: 3 on hard courts, 1 on clay courts and 7 on indoor courts. (See the list of his titles)
Monfils will play next in Cincinnati (Western & Southern Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 13th of August thanks to a protected ranking.
Carlos Alcaraz and Gael Monfils played each other only once. Their actual head to head record is 1-0 for Alcaraz. When they played, Carlos Alcaraz won 7-5 6-1 in the 4th round in Indian Wells (BNP Paribas Open) in March 2022.
