The Swiss legend had another fantastic performance in the Miami Open final against John Isner to win his title no.101.

The American was coming from an excellent run in Miami where he reached the final without dropping a single set. Isner also stunned the tennis fans for the fact that he played and won 9 tiebreaks after playing 10 sets in the competition. Roger Federer was very well aware of that, and he tried to stay sharp from the very beginning.

Federer had an outstanding start of the match after he broke his opponent in the very first game (1-0) before braking him another couple of times during the set and win 6-1.

In the second set, John stepped up with his serve and this time he folded only at the very end before getting injured to his foot in the 9th game. Federer won the contest 6-1 6-4 in just 63 minutes.

After this win, Roger Federer is the world no.1 in the Year to Date rankings, and he is not done with that!
