With a beard and mustache before the 2023 US Open, Novak Djokovic’s new appearance surprised tennis fans.
Djokovic has been unable to compete in America. He has been unable to compete in tennis tournaments in the United States for the past two years due to his refusal to comply with the COVID-19 vaccine requirement.
After Djokovic’s hilarious photo, one fan made the joke that since Goran Ivanisevic was unable to assist Novak Djokovic in winning the Wimbledon championship, the Serb must have stolen his coach’s beard and handled things on his own.
One fan tweeted: “Goran flopped so hard that Novak stole his beard and decided to coach himself.”
Another one commented: “Look at that beard he’s given up on tennis.”

Now ranked no.2, Djokovic played his last encounter on the 16th of July when he capitulated to world no.1 Carlos Alcaraz 1-6 7-6(6) 6-1 3-6 6-4 in the final in Wimbledon (draw).
Currently, during this season Novak achieved a composed 33-5 win-loss record. Djokovic conquered 3 titles in 2023 in Adelaide, Australian Open and French Open. Novak was the finalist in Wimbledon.
Djokovic is scheduled to compete next in Toronto (National Bank Open). He will begin to play the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 7th of August.
