Coco Gauff’s coaching controversy has been in the news for a very long time. After her disappointing run at Wimbledon, she made the decision to split up with her coach.

Coco’s father, on the other hand, has provided genuine support throughout her career as a professional player. But there were some remaining questions about whether he was still her coach or not.

In a recent interview, Coco Gauff confirmed these points and stated whether or not her father was a member of her coaching staff. She also disclosed who is now guiding her as she pursues her aspirations.

In a recent interview, Coco denied the claim that her father serves as her current coach. She answered all the rumors and said: “My dad isn’t – he’s just my dad. He sometimes sends scouting reports, just a little bit, but yeah, he’s not doing anything with the tennis. He may shout something because that’s just parents. But, yeah, he’s not helping me with the tennis pretty much at all at this point. I think two people is enough. He’s just dad.”

These quotes clearly show that her father is nothing more than a strong motivator and support system for her.

Gauff in Washington, ranking, and results in 2023

Currently ranked no.7, the American has a compiled 28-12 record in 2023. Gauff is now competing in Washington where she beat the world no.204 Hailey Baptiste 6-1 6-4.

Coco Gauff will play the world no.15 Belinda Bencic in the quarter. The head to head is 1-0 for Bencic.

Gauff conquered 1 title in 2023 in Auckland.

She is also scheduled to play at the U.S. Open (U.S. Open) after Montreal. The main draw will start on the 7th of August.
