Stefanos Tsitsipas recently discussed his choice of a Grand Slam championship or being the world’s top player as his ultimate professional objective.
Tsitsipas is now in Mexico, competing in the Los Cabos Open as the top-seeded competitor. The 24-year-old said in a recent interview that he would trade a Major championship for the number-one tennis rating.
He stated these remarks in the interview: “I’ll trade (a Grand Slam) for being number one. It is definitely something special, it is a sign that you have reached the maximum in your career, and I like it when you are able to maximize everything. This way, one day I will be able to tell my grandchildren that I have been number one. “
Tsitsipas believes a player has achieved the peak of their career and reached their full potential when they are ranked No. 1 in the world.
