Serena Williams is an active and successful woman not only on court but also off court.
On one side, the 37-year-old is trying to get back to her best form after a complicated pregnancy; on the other, she is also very active in her social “business life.”
Serena will be an active investor in the Bumble fund that has the aim of helping startups launched by women of color. Therefore, the tennis legend will join dating and social networking app Bumble.
The company was founded by Whitney Wolfe Herd, the Co-founder of Tinder and they brought on board also Priyanka Chopra Jonas that is an Indian actress, singer, film producer, and the winner of the Miss World 2000 pageant.
Serena Williams about helping women of color
When commenting about her teaming-up with Bumble, Serena commented
“I’ve learned how impactful one woman’s voice can be when given a platform to speak and be heard. I am passionate about building on this progress and opening doors for women of all backgrounds, especially women of color, to share their message and trust in their potential to accomplish great things.”
It’s impossible not to love Serena’s determination to help.
