Why Carlos Alcaraz can be stopped only by Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner according to coach Ivanisevic

Novak Djokovic's coach Goran Ivanisevic anticipates that recent Wimbledon champion Alcaraz can only be stopped by Novak and Sinner at the US Open 2023.

Why Alcaraz Can Be Stopped By Djokovic And Sinner

According to Novak Djokovic’s coach Goran Ivanisevic, there are only really three players with a good chance of winning the US Open: Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, and Jannik Sinner.

Coach Goran Ivanisevic believes Novak Djokovic will have a successful run at the US Open but believes that there is another player in the draw who will be able to compete against Carlos Alcaraz.

Reflecting back on Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner’s rivalry, who had a spectacular encounter in New York last year, he said: “Alcaraz is a story by himself, and Sinner is the only one who can threaten him at the US Open, along with Novak. Each of their matches is tense.”

He said this in an interview with Croatian media and stated: “There is no one who can stay in a long match with Alcaraz except Sinner and Djokovic. Those who can’t stay long at Alcaraz’s pace can immediately pack their racquets and go home.”

Goran Ivanisevic statements came after Carlos Alcaraz defeated the legend Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon on July 16 and Goran thinks Alcaraz has a high chance to defend his title at US Open.
