After Celine Boutier of France won her first major championship, Emma Raducanu gave her the Amundi Evian Championship trophy for this year. The Amundi Evian Championship for the LPGA was held at the Evian Resort Golf Club over the previous weekend.
The 2021 US Open winner Raducanu attended the competition as a guest. Following her historic victory at the 2021 US Open, Raducanu was named an international Evian water ambassador. Raducanu was granted access to this year’s Evian Championship as a result of such connections.
It was revealed in December 2021 that Raducanu had agreed to negotiate a contract to represent Evian internationally. At the time, Evian added their name to a long list of famous and expensive companies who wanted Raducanu to represent them.
