Denis was playing a tense quarterfinal in the Miami Open against his dear friend Frances Tiafoe, and he was trying to recover from a 1-set-down deficit.
During the match, the ballboy “failed” to get his towel and instead of waiting for the kid to pick up the towel, Denis was quick in doing that by himself without giving too much importance.
It’s a small gesture, but we have seen too many times tennis players badly abusing ballboys (e.g. Manarrino). It’s nice to see that an upcoming champion can lead by example.
