The South African has a strong 8-1 win-loss record in 2019 after he won the title in Pune and he reached the quarters at the Miami Open. In Florida, the world no.7 didn’t have an easy run since he defeated Jaume Munar 6-4 3-6 6-3, Joao Sousa 6-4 7-6 (6), and Jordan Thompson 7-5 7-5.Kevin was sidelined for more than 1 month by an injury to his right elbow soon after the Australian Open.
