Felix Auger Aliassime beats Borna Coric to win his 7th consecutive match at the Miami Open and reach an incredible final.
How Auger Aliassime defeated Coric
Ranked no.57, the young Canadian was expected to pull an upset against the world no.13 Borna Coric even if there was a big gap in the rankings.
Felix was the one to draw first blood in the first set after breaking the Croatian in the 6th game (4-2), but Coric refuses to fold to break back in the following game (4-3). Eventually, the set went straight to a very tense breaker that the Canadian won at 3.
Losing the 1st set was extremely hard for Coric that was unable to cope with the disappointment; Borna lost the first 4 games to trail on a desperate 0-4 scoreline. That was enough for Felix to win the set and seal the deal with a convincing straight-sets win. The final score was 7-6 (3) 6-2, and the match ended after 1 hour and 48 minutes.
