Federer or Tsitsipas to be YTD world no.1 if they win the Miami Open

Roger and Stefanos have a big chance to overtake Novak Djokovic in the year to date rankings

Roger Federer and Stefanos Tsitsipas for world no.1

Interesting things are unfolding at the Miami Open after the tournament lost Rafael Nadal (he wasn’t fit to play) and Novak Djokovic (he was defeated in the 4th round).

Roger Federer and Stefanos Tsitsipas are still on course in Florida, and they have the opportunity to get to the top of the Year To Date Rankings if they win the Miami Open.

How Federer or Tsitsipas can be world no.1 in YTD rankings.

Until now Djokovic has 2,225 points in 2019 while Tsitsipas has 1,460 pts and Federer 1,370 pts. However, if Stefanos wins the Miami Open, he will have 2,370, and if it’s Roger to be the new titlist, he will have 2,280 pts.

Roger and Stefanos may play each other in the semifinal at the Miami Open.

This is going to be interesting.
