Djokovic crashed out at the Miami open at the hands of Bautista Agut

The Spaniard beats Nole in 3 sets.

What a disaster for Novak Djokovic!

The world no.1 seemed ready for yet another fantastic run at the Sunshine Double (Indian Wells and Miami), but eventually he didn’t make it.

Nole lost in the 3rd round in Indian Wells at the hands of Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-4 6-4, and he couldn’t make it beyond the 4th round at the Miami Open after he fell to Roberto Bautista Agut.

How Djokovic lost to Bautista Agut

After Djokovic clinched a 6-1 1-0 (1 break up) lead agasint Roberto Bautista Agut, everything was pointing to a routine straight-sets win for the world no.1 However, the Spaniard is a tough customer, and he already defeated Djokovic in their last match in the Doha semifinal after recovering from a 1-set deficit.

Just out of the blue, Roberto broke back Novak in the 2nd game of the second set before Djokovic dropped his serve again in the last game of the set to lose 7-5.

The world no.1 looked in dire straits from the beginning of the 3rd set when it seemed as he had no confidence in his game. Novak had an awful body language that was giving more and more confidence to his opponent that broke him in the 4th game (3-1). However, to defeat Novak Djokovic, you need to beat him “2 or 3 times” in the same match and the Serbian sensation managed to break back immediately (3-2). When Roberto broke again the world no.1 in the following game (4-2), it was clear that it wasn’t Novak’s day. The Spaniard conceded just 2 points in the following 2 service games before winning 1-6 7-5 6-3 in 2 hours and 29 minutes.
