Noma Akugue Noha is hitting the headlines loud and strong after reaching the final in Hamburg, Germany, after accessing the main draw thanks to a wild card.
Currently 19, Noma is German and of Nigerian descent. Her parents brought up Akugue Noha in Reinbek, Germany. Her mother is Miriam Akugue, and her father is Ronald Obazelu.
Tennis wasn’t Ronald’s thing; he preferred boxing. He attended St. Mary Goretti Catholic High School and the University of Lagos. She is the oldest of three kids and is joined by Gideon and Joseph, two brothers. Her parents left Benin, Nigeria, before she and her two younger brothers were born, moving to Hamburg, Germany. When she was a young girl, (only 3!) her father Roland registered her for kindergarten tennis, and that was when she started to hit the first balls.
About a boyfriend and a coach
As of now, there is no news about Noma dating a boyfriend. There is also mention of a special person in her Instagram feed. It is not clear who has been coaching her recently.
