Following Brenda Patea’s claims against him, Alexander Zverev has spoken up. The German is charged with assault, but he has denied the charges and stated that his legal counsel will handle the situation.

Zverev has been accused with “bodily harm” by Patea, and the Berlin public prosecutor’s office has asked for a penalty order to be issued against the tennis player. He will have two weeks to register an objection if the former World No. 2 receives the injunction.

Zverev addressed the allegations made by the mother of his two-year-old daughter prior to the ATP 500 event, the Hamburg European Open by saying: “From my side, I completely reject the allegations. My lawyers will take care of the matter. I won’t say any more than that.”
