It seemed as Nick Kyrgios found his balance on court, at least in singles. Unfortunately, that was not the case when he was playing the doubles at the Miami Open.
Why Kyrgios destroyed a racket
The Australian lost a tight match in doubles when partnering with American Taylor Fritz against Joao Sousa and Guido Pella 7-6 (4) 6-7 (3) 10-8.
After the match, Kyrgios exploded against the chair umpire to shout at him “What the f*** is wrong with you? You’re a disgrace. You’re a f***ing disgrace.”
Then talking to the fans he added
“Do you think that’s alright. Do you think that’s alright? Yes or no?
Yes or no? Just give me the answer. He’s a disgrace. I come out and give 100% and I have to deal with idiots like him. Does he get fined for his mistakes? It’s rubbish, man.”
Some old habits in here?
The adults win. The kids lose. Great match. NK gives a proper breakdown to keep his reputation intact. #MiamiOpen #Kyrios pic.twitter.com/tM1sNZibfw
