Ranked no.50, the Chinese is having a fantastic year after she reached the semifinal in Shenzhen and she won Acapulco. Yafan reached the 3rd round at the Miami Open after beating in straight sets Kiki Mladenovic (6-3 6-3) and Elina Svitolina (6-2 6-4). The Chinese has a strong 13-4 win-loss record in 2019.
