Tomic retires from Indian Wells!

What a pity!

Bernard
Tomic
had to retire from Indian Wells just before playing Novak
Djokovic
. The Australian no.1 was playing one of the best tennis of his career
in California where he defeat tough players such has an in-form
Coric
and
Kokkinakis.
Probably his best performance was when he defeated
Ferrer
in the 3rd round in straight sets (7-5 6-4).

Why the
retirement

Apparently Bernard is a sort of physical “wreck”
during these days. The Australian has been struggling with his back, his wisdom
tooth and some headaches (not the best situation).

“I wasn’t sure as well if I was going to
play today.  I had problems with the
wisdom tooth I have to remove. I was getting a lot of pain and headache, so
it’s going to be tough for me tomorrow to see how I wake up and what medication
I need to take, because I have to do the surgery in the next few weeks.

It’s going to take me out maybe a week, but
I have to do it. Somehow it came across now. No, I was happy to play the match
today.”

This retirement will give a free pass to Novak Djokovic that will face
Murray
in the semifinal.
