Bouchard crashes out from Indian Wells

Once again… terrible stuff for Genie
Bouchard.

The Canadian star looked to be on her way
back after a disappointing spell soon after the Australian Open, but once again
she couldn’t deliver. After a couple of convincing wins in the first 2 matches
in Indian Wells, Genie had to face world no.85 and qualifier
Lesya
Tsurenko.
The Ukraine is not an easy customer, but Genie was definitely he
favorite to reach the quarters. Eventually Bouchard could not capitalize on a
strong 4-1 lead (2 breaks up) in the decider to lose 5 consecutive games and
the match (6-7 (5) 7-5 6-4)

Bouchard: Lots of things didn’t work

Genie was immensely disappointed for the
loss “A lot of things didn’t go my way today in terms of everything. I
felt heavy out there. Legs slugging from the beginning of the match. I tried to
get myself going, but it was kind of a struggle throughout the whole match. I
just didn’t feel I was myself at all in terms of how I was playing. It’s a
learning type match. It’s a tough one to learn from, but that’s what I have to
do.”

Let’s see what Genie can do in Miami.

In the mean time Tsurenko will play Jelena
Jankovic in the quarters.

NOT A HAPPY LADY TODAY

NO LUCK THIS TIME
