Tsitsipas talks about the financial problems he had at the beginning of his career

Stefanos revealed the hardship he had to go through during the crisis in Greece

At 20 years of age, Stefanos Tsitsipas has already broken in the top10 to start to amass considerable prize money that its currently over 4 million USD.

However, things were not so easy for Tsitsipas especially at the beginning of his career when Greece was deep in financial troubles.

The Greek joined other players such as Kei Nishikori, Marin Cilic, Nick Kyrgios, Diego Schwartzman, Nicolas Jarr, and Petra Kvitova in a QA question with some students in Miami.

The world no.10 revealed how tough it was for him to deal with financial hardship to comment

“Greece was suffering economically during the period that I grew up, so it was not easy to pursue my dream/ Those circumstances held me back, but I was lucky that I had people in my family who helped to make my dream possible.

It was also difficult for me to not see my family very much when I did begin to travel for my tennis. I was lucky that I had my dad to travel with me, but I missed my mother, my siblings, and my grandparents.”

It’s always inspiring listening to the stories of people who made it.
