Federer beats Seppi in Indian Wells

No problems for Roger
Federer
this time against Andreas
Seppi
.

The world no. 2 had a traumatic experience against
the Italian earlier this year when he lost in 4 sets at the Australian Open 3rd
round.  In Indian Wells everything was
different. Roger was in full control of the match to win 6-3 6-4 in just 82
minutes.

The only awkward moment for the Swiss
Maestro was when he dropped his serve in the 6th game of the second
set (he was already leading with a break up) to break back Seppi  in the game after.

Once again the world no.2 was particularly
weak on his break point conversion (3 of 12), but eventually this was safe
journey.

Federer: we both struggled

Roger wasn’t very happy with his tennis to
comment “I don’t think we both played very well tonight. We both struggled
with the conditions, the balls. I think it’s tough to get hold of them, the
right way with the right spin. Maybe as you move along in the tournament,
hopefully it’s going to get better for me and for any player. It’s one of those
matches you’re happy you’re through, and I was happy it was over.”

Next vs. Sock

Roger will play Jack
Sock
in the 4th round. This will be the first time they play
each other.
