Petra Kvitova and Jiri Vanek wed in a private ceremony on July 22, one year after they got engaged at Wimbledon, in an opulent weekend resort not far from Prague.

The picturesque Oblik resort, located in the heart of the Central Bohemian Highlands, is the ideal location for a vacation, birthday party, wedding, or team building. The Czech tennis couple exchanged vows there. Local media reported that prominent guests, including WTA player Barbora Strycova, were present at the wedding.

Jiri Vanek, who had previously coached Karolina Pliskova, became Petra Kvitova’s coach during the 2016 off-season. After Vanek was spotted overnight in Kvitova’s residence in June 2020, rumors about their romance started to circulate. Vanek, who has two sons with his wife Marketa, was going through a divorce at the time. Kvitova, a two-time Wimbledon winner, initially denied the allegations of a relationship, but she later admitted as much in an interview with Blesk, right before competing in the 2021 US Open Series. They reportedly began dating in May 2021, in Rome, during the Internazionali BNL d’Italia.
