Messi announced last month that he was quitting European football by joining Inter Miami instead of Paris Saint-Germain after weeks of strong rumors. Messi was introduced to the public at Fort Lauderdale last Sunday after signing with the team.
The Argentine star made his eagerly anticipated debut for his new team on Friday night.
As the clock struck 90 minutes in the game, Cruz Azul and Inter Miami remained deadlocked at 1-1. Messi, though, had the final say as he struck an incredible free kick to give his team the victory.
