Wednesday will be a rather important day for the “new” Miami Open with the ribbon-cutting ceremony that will officially kick start the opening of the Hard Rock Stadium that has been readapted for the competition.

During the ceremony, tennis fans will have the chance to see the likes of Roger Federer, Naomi Osaka, Serena Williams, and Novak Djokovic.

The Miami Open to break the attendance record

The tournament director and former world no.5 James Blake is extremely bullish about the possibility that the Miami Open will break the attendance record after the move from Key Biscayne to the new premises to comment

“When we get through the first day or two and see what we are in store for I have a feeling we will be announcing a lot of records broken this year. I don’t want to be too pie-in-the-sky, but I do think we are going to break a record.”

Unfortunately, the entire Tuesday was wiped out from heavy rain, but as soon as the conditions normalize the Miami Open will go full speed.
