Alexander Bublik has recently executed a couple of rather futile “handle shots” that consist of hitting an easy overhead with the handle of the racket. The player from Kazakhstan has showcased this weird shot a couple of times in official competitions, with alternate success. Nevertheless, that has become one of his trade shots alongside the underarm serve, which could be much more effective. There is a video on Twitter with Alexander teaching the “handle shots” to kids.
This is the video.
Bublik is literally creating his legacy, the Bublik Nation, so that in 10 to 20 years, future players can use the Bublik Shots strategically and triumph on the world's biggest stages.pic.twitter.com/8JROhorZ3u
