Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka are set to play each other again at the Miami Open.

The 2 Swiss tennis stars already locked horns in the 3rd round in Indian Wells and by chance they are set to play each other also in the 3rd round in Miami.

Roger Federer’s draw at the Miami Open

Roger had a good draw in Miami where after his 1st round bye, he should play Matthew Ebden in the 2nd round. The Australian has a 2-7 win loss record in 2019 and he has lost the last 5 matches.

As anticipated the Swiss will probably face Stan Wawrinka in the 3rd round and that is a good match-up for Federer that has a 12-0 win-loss record against Stan on hard courts.

In the 4th round, Roger may play Daniil Medvedev that is a dangerous layer, but he is not in a good form currently and he lost 3 of his last 4 matches.

In the quarter on paper, the Maestro is expected to play Kevin Anderson. However, the South African is injured and the may even withdraw from the tournament. Therefore, the next in line is Karen Khachanov

that with a notable exception of Indian Wells he is having not a very good season since he is struggling with his body.

Roger may play Sascha Zverev in the semifinal, but the German is having not a good season. He recently lost in the 3rd round in Indian Wells to Jan-Lennard Struff (but apparently Sascha was battling an illness).

Here Federer’s projected path

R1  – Bye
R2  – Ebden
R3  – Wawrinka
R4  – Medvedev
1/4 – Khachanov
1/2 – Zverev
Fin  – Djokovic

Last year Federer lost in the opening match to Thanasi Kokkinakis.
