Simona Halep had a good draw in Miami

Simona Halep is about to start her run in Miami where last year she reached the 3rd round before losing to Agnieszka Radwanska.

This year Simona is seeded no.2 even if she is currently ranked no.3 since the organization uses the rankings before Indian Wells where the former world no.1 lost in the 4th round.

Simona Halep can regain the world no.1 rank after Miami

Halep has never won the title in Miami but is she succeeds this year and Naomi Osaka loses early in the tournament; she may regain the world no.1 rank.

The Romanian received a rather good draw since she avoided dangerous floaters in the early rounds. There are some players that could be extremely dangerous from the very beginning, and these are mainly the upcoming teenagers such as the Indian Wells champion Bianca Andreescu, Amanda Anisimova, or Dayana Yastremska. Another player that could be lethal in the early rounds is Vika Azarenka, but she is in the other half.
