Federer sends lovely message to Nadal after his retirement

Roger got a free ticket to the Indian Wells final after his rival and friend Rafael Nadal withdrew. The Swiss sent a very nice message to the world no.2.

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are in fantastic terms after they enjoyed a fierce and healthy rivalry.

While Rafa has dominated this rivalry for most of his career, but Roger has managed to win the last 5 matches they played and he was eager to win another one in the Indian Wells semifinal where he defeated the Spaniard 2 years ago playing a tennis out of this world.

Unfortunately, Rafa wasn’t able to compete because of a problem to his knee that was exacerbated during his successful quarter against Karen Khachanov.

The message from Roger Federer to Nadal

Even if Roger was happy to play yet another final in Indian Wells, he was saddened by Nadal’s retirement to send this message to the Spanish champion

“Sad we couldn’t face off in another epic matchup, but hopefully we have a few more to come. Get better soon Rafa. #Fedal.”

Impossible not to love these 2 legends.
