Scary stuff in Indian Wells for Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils.
The Ukrainian reported on Twitter that while she and her boyfriend were in the hotel room 4 policemen broke into their room pointing guns at them.
According to News Channel 3, there was a heavy presence of the police at Indian Wells Conference Center at Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa in Indian Well following reports about gunshots.

The police started a room-to-room sweep for evidence of a gun shooting, but eventually, nothing was found.
Therefore, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the report of the shooting was unsubstantiated.
Luckily everything ended up “only” as a big scare for Svitolina and Monfils.

Svitolina is about to play Bianca Andreescu in the semifinal in the desert while Monfils had to retire before playing the quarters against Thiem because of a problem to his left Achilles.
