Carlos Alcaraz was crowned Wimbledon champion after defeating Novak Djokovic in the men's final. Prince George and Princess Charlotte celebrated with joy, while Alcaraz won the trophy and £2.35 million prize money.

Huge cheers could be heard coming from the royal box when Carlos Alcaraz, who had just defeated Novak Djokovic in the men’s final, was crowned the new king of Centre Court.

The five-set epic’s star turn belonged to Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who punched the air with joy to celebrate the world number one’s first Wimbledon victory. George, 9, and Charlotte, 8, were on pins and needles during the final, which ultimately saw Alcaraz win the trophy and the £2.35 million prize money.
