From one Spanish legend to another. Rafael Nadal was extremely quick in congratulating Carlos Alcaraz following his incredible and historical Wimbledon title. The 20-year-old from Murcia defeated the great Novak Djokovic in 5 tense sets on Sunday. This was Nadal’s message to his compatriot.
“Congratulation @carlosalcaraz. You have given us immense joy today and I am sure that our pioneer in Spanish tennis, Manolo Santana, has also been cheering wherever he is, such as Wimbledon whom you have joined today. A very strong hug and enjoy the moment, Champion!!!”
