Murray gives the quarters to Great Britain

Andy Murray is the King of Glasgow!

The British no.1 wins the decisive point against USA beating John Isner 7-6 (4) 6-3 7-6 (4). Interesting enough the only break came in the 2nd set when Andy managed to pass Big Johny with an outstanding lob. (see video below).

With this win Murray gave a decisive 3-1 lead to his team.

Murray: It feels great

This is the second consecutive year that Great Britain reaches the quarters “It feels great. This is a team effort and I think everyone agrees the team played their part. On behalf of all of the players I want to thank the crowd because it’s been one of the most special atmospheres I’ve ever played in,”

The next opponent for Great Britain will be France and they will play at home soon after Wimbledon. Murray would like to try to play on grass that match “I don’t know how many grass courts they have here in Glasgow but if they can lay one, I’d really love to play here again.”

Time to do some gardening?
