Rafael Nadal and Karen Khachanov will face each other for a place in the semifinal in Indian Wells on Friday at 1.30 pm.

Rafa is having a good start of the season with a solid 10-2 record. However, the Spaniard “still” has to win a title after he lost in the final in Melbourne and the 2nd round in Acapulco. Rafa is in great form in Indian Wells where he reached the quarters without conceding a single set and after beating Jared Donaldson 6-1 6-1, Diego Schwartzman 6-3 6-1, and Filip Krajinovic 6-3 6-4.
Khachanov
Before Indian Wells, Karen was having a horrible 2019 with a 2-5 win-loss record and after losing the previous 4 sets. However, the world no.13 has found some of his tennis in the desert to reach the quarters after beating Feliciano Lopez 6-3 1-6 6-4, Andrey Rublev 7-5 6-3, John Isner 6-4 7-6 (1).

This will be the 6th time that Rafa and Karen face each other. The head to head is 5-0 for the Spaniard that seems to be the obvious candidate to reach the semifinal.
