The grass court season is over, and for some players, it is time to engage in some “minor” tournaments that will be staged on clay before the North American swing. Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, Lorenzo Musetti and Francisco Cerundolo will play in Bastad next week, where they will lead the main draw. The defending champion is Francisco Cerundolo who defeated Sebastian Baez in the final.

Casper Ruud in 2023
Ranked world no.4, the Norwegian played his last match on the 6th of July when he was overcome by world no.142 Liam Broady 6-4 3-6 4-6 6-3 6-0 in the 2nd round in Wimbledon (draw).

Currently the world no.19 (career-high), Cerundolo played his last match on the 6th of July when he capitulated to world no.37 Jiri Lehecka 6-2 6-2 6-2 in the 2nd round in Wimbledon (draw).
Currently, during this season Francisco has a 29-17 match record. This year, Francisco clinched 1 title in Eastbourne. The Argentine was the runner-up in Lyon.
