The Miami Open tournament will be played for the first time in what used to be the parking lot at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
James Blake, the tournament director, is particularly elated with the move to comment
“Our main goal was always to keep the Miami Open in Miami, so when Stephen Ross [the Dolphin owner] approached us with the idea of moving to Hard Rock Stadium, we were obviously intrigued.
Once we saw the plan and saw his passion for the event, it made the decision an easy one.
Once people get out to the site and see what we are building, they understand what an amazing event this is going to be.”
