It seems that dating Elina Svitolina is working pretty well for Gael Monfils‘ tennis.
Since Gael and his girlfriend went public about their relationship i January, the Frenchman is thriving on tour. Monfils has a 14-3 win-loss record in 2019, and he has reached the semifinals in Sofia and Dubai; in addition, he won the prestigious ATP500 in Rotterdam, and now he is in the quarters in Indian Wells.
In the desert, after conceding just 3 games to Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the 3rd round (6-0 6-3), the Frenchman improved himself after beating Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-0 6-2 in the 4th round in a match that lasted just 58 minutes (the first set was wrapped up in 21 minutes).
