Elina Svitolina explains how she will get ready to clash against Iga Swiatek at Wimbledon

Elina Svitolina faces Iga Swiatek in Wimbledon quarterfinal. Svitolina explains her preparations for the match after her fourth-round win against Vika Azarenka.

Svitolina And Swiatek

Elina Svitolina will have to face the world No. 1 Iga Swiatek in the Wimbledon quarterfinal, being the obvious underdog. The Ukrainian player became a mother at the end of last year, as she would have never guessed to go so far at Wimbledon. During the press conference that followed her successful fourth-round match against Vika Azarenka, Svitolina explained what she would do in order to get ready to face Iga Swiatek:

“Firstly, she’s a great champion, also a great person. I’m really thankful for her support of Ukrainians, Ukraine, doing everything what is in her power, being vocal about that. She had also a big battle today, as well.

Yes, for me, to be fair, I didn’t speak yet with my coach about what’s going to be the plan. But I’m going to tomorrow have a practice day. The priority is going to be to recover. Then I’m going to sit down with my coach, go through the game plan, see how I can find a way to beat her.”
