Novak Djokovic talks how lucky he has been with his injuries

Novak Djokovic About His Injuries

Novak Djokovic is currently at Wimbledon, where he will face Andrey Rublev for a place in the semifinal. The Serbian sensation is considered by many to be the greatest tennis player in history, and he is very well aware that being constantly healthy is a huge part of his success. His main rivals, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, had to deal quite often with all sorts of injuries. Novak was hampered by health issues only on one occasion when, a few years ago, he had to undergo surgery to fix a problem on his right elbow.

During a recent press conference at Wimbledon, Djokovic commented: “Luckily for me, I’ve had only one significant injury that kept me out of the circuit for almost a year on and off with the surgery of the elbow. Other than that, there was some muscle tears and injuries, but generally I’ve kept healthy, considering the intensity of my career and the amount of matches I’ve played in the last 20 years.”
