Tennis fans in Wimbledon were excited to see 2 tennis “power couples” competing in mixed doubles. Katie Boulter and boyfriend Alex De Minaur, alongside Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa, agreed to play in the competition. However, Tsitsipas and Badosa had to withdraw after Paula had to retire from singles struggling with a lower back injury.
Fans were still elated when attending the match that home favorite Katie Boulter was playing with Alex De Minauragaisnt Storm Hunter and John Peers. Katie and Alex won 6-2 6-4 on Friday.
Talking about the match, Katie commented: “It’s something we’ve both wanted to do for quite some time. It’s not often that you get to have that experience together, especially at Wimbledon.
It’s a totally different vibe going on court with him. I think we bring the best out of each other, in terms of tennis, on and off the court.”

Now ranked no.89, Boulter owns a composed 29-12 match record in 2023. The Brit is playing in Wimbledon where she managed to beat the world no.231 Daria Saville 7-64 and the world no.99 Viktoriya Tomova 6-26-0 3-6 6-3.
Katie Boulter will face the world no.3 Elena Rybakina in the 3rd round on Saturday at 6:30 pm on Centre Court. In the past, they have never played each other till now in top tournaments.
Boulter conquered 2 titles in 2023 Canberra and Nottingham. Katie was the finalist in the W80 Gifu and in the W60 Fukuoka.

Ranked no.17, Alex played his last match on the 7th of July when he lost to world no.38 Matteo Berrettini 6-3 6-4 6-4 in the 2nd round in Wimbledon (draw).
Currently, during this season Alex has managed to achieve a 22-14 win-loss record. This year, the Australian lifted the trophy in Acapulco. The Australian was the finalist in London.
