Nole is chasing his 6th title in Indian Wells where he is aiming at consolidating, even more, his world no.1 rank. After a shaky start against a very good Bjorn Fratangelo (3-5) in his opening match in the dest, Nole found his way back in style before winning 7-6 (5) 6-2.

Currently ranked no.39, the German did a “big favor” to Novak Djokovic after he defeated Nick Kyrgios in the 2nd round 6-4 6-4. The Serbian was definitely happy about that since he doesn’t like to play Kyrgios (he has a 0-2 record against the Australian). Before playing in Indian Wells, the German was coming from a losing streak of 4 matches.
