Stefanos Tsitsipas and his former coach, Mark Philippoussis, seemed to have a great relationship. However, they parted ways right before the French Open. According to the Australian coach and former tennis player, the main problem was that Stefanos needed only one voice. The world no.5 was struggling to process information coming from both his father and coach Apostolos and Mark Philippoussis. Therefore, the split happened.
This is what Mark said to Tennis Majors: “Stef wanted one voice. It was important to him. I think that the most important relationship is the one you have with your family. He has his father and he must focus on that. I wish him the best, he is a great kid and I hope he gets confidence and starts winning some matches.”
