Denis Shapovalov and Radu Albot are not going to enjoy dinner together after their Wimbledon match.  At the conclusion of the opening set of their Wimbledon first-round encounter, Denis Shapovalov rather bluntly expressed his displeasure with Radu Albot’s behavior. Albot earned two consecutive break points on Shapovalov’s service with both players tied at five games each in the first set.

Albot reportedly began quickly altering his return position prior to Shapovalov’s double fault, which gave the Moldovan qualifier a break and a 6-5 advantage. Shapovalov expressed dissatisfaction with Albot’s behaviour, saying they it was just a dirty trick.

Shapovalov told the umpire: “He’s jumping around like this. I mean, it’s a joke. Nobody does that. It’s an absolute joke that you’re doing this.

I’ll start doing the same and then we can have a party over here. I mean, it’s not fair. That’s not tennis. The sole purpose of this is to distract me. That’s just a hindrance.”

the match was then suspended because of the rain. The current result is 7-5 2-2 for Albot.
