Roger Federer reaches the Dubai quarters with a straight sets win.

Federer

Roger had a false start in the match against Fernando Verdasco to drop his very first service game and face a 0-3 deficit. But the Swiss Maestro had still too much tennis for the Spaniard and after being 1-4 down, Roger won 5 consecutive games at love (that’s 20 consecutive points!) to grab the first set 6-4. The second set started quite well for Roger to break Verdasco for the 3rd consecutive time, but soon after Roger conceded his second service game (1-all). Eventually Roger broke Fernando another couple of times to finally win the match 6-4 6-3 in 60 minutes. Match Stats
